The department caters to the needs of students and members of staff through its well developed Numerical Laboratory and a research laboratory equipped with a Neuro-computing Multitasking Sun Workstation with intelligent terminals, several PC/AT and PC/XT computers with networking both in DOS and UNIX environments.

It has a rich collection of different softwares like MATHEMATICA, MATHCAD, FORTRAN, INGRESS,LINGUIST, WORDPERFECT, EXCEL etc.

The Desk Top Publishing Unit with a Mini Offset Printer of the department is unique of its kind in the Institute.
