VISULIZER Canon RE-455X:

Included in the RE-455X is a 12x Power Zoom Lens with Superior Canon Optics for crisp, detailed image capture, adjustable twin fluorescent lamps for uniform lighting, convenient front-panel controls, auto and manual exposure and white balance, and a White Paper mode to optimize the quality of text documents. Additional features include a VGA input and output for connecting to a computer monitor or a projector and S-Video and composite video outputs for easy connection to a Canon Multimedia Projector or to a VCR, DVD player, or a TV. The center is equipped in the D-Link to introduce the latest in Internet camera technology. The D-Link SECURICAM Network™ DCS-3220G Wireless Internet Camera is a full-featured surveillance system that connects to an Ethernet or wireless broadband network to provide remote high-quality video and audio. Using the latest 802.11g wireless technology, the DCS-3220G communicates at a maximum wireless signal rate of up to 54Mbps.
It has built-in Web-based interface integrate in the network environment. Powerful surveillance software is included to enhance the monitoring and management of the DCS-3220G, allowing to archive video straight to the hard drive, playback video, monitor as many as 16 cameras on a single screen, and set up motion detection to trigger video/audio recording and e-mail alerts. The DCS-3220G Wireless Internet Camera is a cost-effective and versatile security solution for home or business.

The centre is also equipped with 29 inch two Panasonic Colour Televisions and one 32 inch Benq TFT Monitor. It can provided good quality inside and outside audio and video running the conference through four ISDN line with the help of PolyCom Setup. It can help experts to see these own and outside of audio and video during the lecture. It’s easier to conduct the conference.

BENQ Projector

A powerful 2500-lumen lamp ensures that even small text and detailed graphics will be clearly visible if the lighting conditions at the venue are less than ideal. Even with overhead lights on, audience can enjoy a presentation that looks crisp and not washed out. To fully bring out the colors and visual intricacies of the presentation slides, the MP721 gives an ultra-high 2000:1 contrast ratio. Even on a slide where similar colors are used, text and other visual elements stand out clearly. For extra versatility, the MP721's provides a number of picture modes. Sub: Proposal for expanding activity in
Video Conferencing Facility Centre at A.K. Seal Hall

Dear Sir / Madam,

It is my great pleasure to inform you that the Video Conferencing Facility Centre has been established in Hostel No. 10 (A.K. Seal Hall) with financial support from Networking Implementation Committee, TEQIP, BESU, Shibpur and it is now ready for functioning.

Highly advanced and sophisticated equipments have been installed for the development of the setup, and the infrastructure needs its proper utilization. We have already established networking through video conferencing with Govt. College of Textile Technology and Engineering College, Serampur.   However, the facility needs to be expanded further for serving and sharing knowledge with other institutions.

We have already though about some activities (which may be further added / modified, deleted), which may be taken immediately for the next one year and also need to be extended further:

1. To propagate the availability of this facility to all the engineering institutes in West Bengal (specially to formal and non-formal networking institute) and other state for arranging expert lecture (both ways) through video conferencing.

2. To facilitate distance interview of our students for recruitment purposes. 

3. To explore the possibility for development of video course material directly from the live lecture of the faculty members of BESU Shibpur, which can be available to other institutes against nominal fees.   

4. To conduct special lecture for our students, Scholars, Teachers by experts located at distance places.

All concerned persons are requested to propose different methods/ ways through which the activity can be further extended and enhanced. All the faculty members are also requested to use this facility for the academic purposes.
